Beaches

Al Ghariya Beach

Address: Travel 80 kms from Doha on Shamal Road, towards North. Then follow tarmac road, which leads to the beach.

About:

It's sand beach, with shallow water. Beside the beach is Al Ghariya Resort, which offers restaurants, water sports, recreation, rooms and more.

There is no facility for doing bar-b-que, but you may bring your own equipment there.

Dukhan Beach

Address: Located at West of Qatar. Approx 90 kms from Doha, on Al-Rayyan Road

About:

The beach is famous for surfing and swimming and as a picnic point. Huts with chairs are available

Khor Al Adaid (The Inland Sea)

Address: It is located at the South of Qatar. The beach lies between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

About:

Khor Al-Adaid beach is a great tourist area. It's a nice place for
barbecues, entertainment. There is also opportunity to ride camels or sand ski. There are crescent-shaped sand dunes that look very beautiful

Caution:

Four-wheel drive vehicles must be used to arrive at the beach.

Fuwairit Beach

Address: The beach is 80 kms from Doha. Take Shamal Road, and at approx. 78 kms, turn right at the Fuwairit sign.

About:

The beach has sandy bay with coves, which make it an ideal picnic spot.

Maroona Beach (French Beach)

Address: Approx 70 kms from Doha, on Shamal Road, there is a sign 'Maroona', turn there, the beach is about 8 kms from there.

About:

It is also known as 42-km Beach or French Beach. It offers nice sights, and is a good place for bar-b-que, para-sailing and camping.
