Zubarah Fort
About:
The Zubarah Fort was built by Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, in 1938. It served as a Coast Guard Station and also as a police station for some time.
The fort has several rooms that now exhibit artworks and archaeological findings.

Sunday to Thu: 8 am to 6pm
Friday: Opens after 1pm
Location:
The fort is located at the deserted town, on north-western coast of Qatar, about 105 kms from Doha.

Al-Rakiyat Fort
About:
Al Rakiyat fort was constructed between 17th and 19th century. It is mad of stones and mud. It is rectangular in shape and has four towers at the corners.
Location:
The fort is located near a camel farm, just off the coastal road between Zubarah and Ruwais.

Doha Fort (Al Koot)
About:
Doha Fort is a famous tourist spot. It was built in 1880 to be a police station, later it was used as a jail.
The fort also houses Bedouin Sadu, handicrafts, fishing equipment, wooden ornaments, boats, historical photos, artwork including oil paintings of craft workers and daily life

Al Wajdah Fort
About:
The fort was built in 1882. It is the oldest fort in Qatar and has been used at time of battle in year 1893 when Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani led his people to a victory over the invading Ottoman forces.
Location, New Al-Rayyan, about 15 kms from Doha.
